We go back to Japan three times a year to buy and collect Japanese Antiques for our shop in Terrey Hills, Sydney. We have a huge space to utilize which allows us the opportunities to purchase a huge range of Japanese Antique Furniture and stone items such as Stone Lanterns ( Ishi Doro ) and Stone Water Bowls ( Tsukubai ) a perfect addition to any garden design. Plus all the unique decorative pieces that the Japanese do so well such as ceramics, bronzes, tea ceremony baskets and Kimono. Their mastery of ceramics and baskets, the colors and weaves of their textiles in Kimono and Obi, the art in Screens and Scrolls all have a refined and restrained balance, with an amazing sense of design and style. Japanese pieces work well with contemporary interiors and exteriors as well as the eclectic and traditional design.

People love coming to our shop and spend a lot of time in the atmosphere that we have created, people say “It is so peaceful here”. First time visitors are very surprised at what they have discovered and love to bring their friends back the next time they come.

We have been trading in Sydney for 13 years now, we love what we do and we meet lots of lovely people that also have a passion for Japanese Culture and the Arts. We have a loyal following from our very first shipments that were released in Mosman and Neutral Bay. We had many Exhibition \ Sales in Darling Harbour and then a warehouse in Artarmon and now we have a huge warehouse in the grounds of the ex Australian Geographic site. It works really well here, we are surrounded by nurseries, cafés and we’re on the main route that connects the North Shore and Sydney City to  the Northern Beaches. So please come and discover a Japanese shopping experience for yourself .

If there is anything that your looking for that we don't have on the floor or on the web site we can put your wish in the requests book. There is no obligation to buy and you get first choice on that item.

We have many gorgeous Kimono dating from the early 1900's through to contemporary. We have Yukata (Summer Kimono). Many gorgeous textiles in silk and cotton. Many different processes make up the design of a Kimono, weaving, dying, resist dying, embroidery, Shibori, Maisen, Kasuri and many more techniques, it makes every Kimono a unique garment, each one is designer made. A wide selection of temple textiles. Kimono and textiles can be purchased on the web and sent the same day. We are continually updating the web site so there is always a good choice of Kimono.

Japanese Lacquer is some of the finest in the world. The earliest lacquer boxes date from the Heian Period (794-1195) Lacquer boxes were used for make-up containers or to store personal letters and papers. The lacquer we have is on wood.

We have items dating from the Momoyama Period (1568-1603), Edo Period (1603-1868) through to the Meiji Period (1868-1912), Taisho Period (1912-1926) and Showa Period (1926-present).

Each Japanese Tansu or chest is unique as they were made for the client to their specific design, wants and needs. We always have a huge selection. We restore all our furniture in house and like to keep the patina and it's rustic charm. Enhancing what is there and not stripping it away. The furniture is finished with a high quality wax. You shouldn't need to wax it again for a very long time. They are all original and dating from the mid 1800's to the 1930's.

All the pieces are in great condition and under Australian Quarantine laws they are fumigated when entering the country.

We have a massive collection of Japanese Garden items such as Stone Lanterns ( Ishi Doro ), Water Bowls (Tsukubai) and stepping stones. All original pieces that were once in a Japanese Garden or Temple. Delivery is simple and can be organised at very reasonable rates.

We offer free delivery of bulky items over $1000 (except stone items) in the Sydney Metropolitan area and very reasonable rates interstate and international with reliable carriers so your purchases will arrive safely.  On average stone items can be delivered for approximately $300 within the Sydney Metropolitan area.
